Bella Blvd | Paper Crowns...

Hey Friends!! Today I am sharing my step by step process for creating the paper crowns I made using the new Bella Blvd Popsicles and Pandas Collection.

It was a really simple process of folding paper squares from your favourite patterned paper collection.

Start by gathering your supplies and tools.

Supplies | Popsicles & Pandas: Paper: Picnic, Daily Details, Oh Summer!, Popsicle Party, Paper Pieces; IF Enamel Hearts: Hey Sugar Sugar; Enamel Dots: Punch.

Tools |  metal dies: flower and leaf; hot glue gun; bone folder/scorer.

Cut out several flower shapes from metal dies or electronic die cutting machine. I have combined two shapes to make one flower. Roll the flower shapes to form the flower and secure carefully with hot glue.

For the smaller pink crown, trim patterned paper into 1" squares. The larger crown is made from 2" squares.  Cut/trim enough squares to fit the circumference of your head.

Fold each square neatly on the diagonal to form triangles. Use the scorer for a crisp edge. Link each triangle together by applying hot glue (carefully) to the edge of the inside fold and then slide a second triangle between. Complete the crown by securing the first triangle to the last. Allow the crown to dry.

Add your die cut flowers and any other embellishments.

Complete your gift by wearing it yourself or ceremoniously passing it along to a special mother for Mother's Day! Let's face it mums. We deserve to wear a crown on Mother's Day!! *grin*

Bella Blvd | Delight in His Day mini album...

Hey Everyone!

I'm just checking in here with a quick step by step mini album using one sheet of cardstock and the super cute Bella BLVDIllustrated Faith | Delight in His Day collection!

This mini folds down to 4"x4". I will attach a copy of the Pinterest template I found on line as well as the instruction. The original blog post can be found here. This link is for the base mini album only.

Instructions are as follows:

First cut along all the lines (that are not dotted) and then fold:
A: fold top center to the right. apply adhesive to top and bottom edges of right square and attach to create a pocket.
B: fold down.
C: fold top left square down. Apply adhesive to right and bottom edges of center left square and attach to create a pocket. fold under center square.
D: fold to the right.
E: fold bottom right square to the left.
F: fold edge of square to the right on 1" mark. apply adhesive to flaps to create two pockets.
G: fold bottom left square to the right.
Fold up to close.

Once the base cardstock mini has been created, I have added 3.75" squares of patterned paper to each 4"x4" section. Keep in mind though as you fold the card, to line up the patterned papers so they don't appear upside down as the mini is opened.

Folding the mini back to the 4"x4" size can be a little tricky. It might take a few tries to get it to lay flat or find the right way to fold it in on itself. *grin* I had to this attempt several times!

Finally embellish using the gorgeous paper pieces from Delight in His Day and those fun puffy heart stickers!!

I have left room in this mini for several photos measuring 3"x2", but I am sure you can easily substitute a 4"x4" paper for a square Instagram photo.

Have fun putting your album together! Once you have all the supplies sitting in front of you, it takes next to no time to create.  Thanks for visiting..x

Bella BLVD | Easter Thank You...

Hey Friends! I just wanted to share these 3x4 thank you cards I created last week. They're just in time for Easter! I want my friends to know how much I appreciate them. This was such a simple idea that I made them in less than an hour.

I started with some base cardstock and grabbed the Illustrated Faith | Seed of Faith collection. I just adore the colours!

I was also drawn towards using the gorgeous Seeds of Faith paper pieces as well. Creating layers was easy by mounting them on foam dots!

Behind each cluster of paper pieces (die cuts) I added a simple 1.5" circle, punched from coordinating cardstock.

Add some twine and a few puffy heart stickers and these cards practically make themselves!! *grin*

Thanks for visiting today! I hope I've inspired you to pull out some supplies and play over the Easter weekend..x

JOT Magazine | February Mood Board!

We all love a good mood board, am I right? Well look no further than this gorgeous one, created by the lovely Amanda Hall over at Jot Magazine.

Swoon! It is the month of love and romance, so why not create a stunning project using this colour palette! *grin*

I've been tempted and followed through with creating a pink page about my 14 year old son. okay... So the palette chosen here is heavily dominated by the touches of black, LOL, but he claims to be "man enough" to handle pink, so I went with the challenge! *grin*

products used: cs - American Crafts; pp - Bella Blvd, Pebbles Inc, Studio Calico; alpha - Bella BLVD fundamental stickers; other - HS thankyou die, Bella BLVD: paper pieces & enamel hearts, Pretty Little Studio card, Girl's Paperie word phrase stickers, enamel dots, Tim Holtz paper clip, staples, toothpick, twine; tools - machine stitching.

Also.. if you like the look of my heart arrow embellishment, a simple tutorial has been posted to the JOT Magazine blog... find the link  >here<
